Prospero is looking for an ambitious and energetic individual to join our team, supporting a multistakeholder advocacy platform building political momentum for fit-for-purpose regulation for biological plant protection. You will work closely with other members of Prospero's public affairs team, and may be asked to support other clients as well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule relevant coalition meetings and pre-calls, ensuring timely circulation of meeting agendas.
  • Develop slides for meetings under the direction of relevant consultants and managers.
  • Manage advocacy webinars, including event logistics, promotion, speaker briefings, and post-mortems.
  • Project management of various coalition initiatives, from outreach campaigns to in-person workshops and roundtables.

  • Update association communication materials, including websites, intranets, and social media.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who understands political decision-making processes in the EU, is enthusiastic about supporting the EU food and agriculture sectors, and is highly motivated and empathetic. The candidate should be a resilient team player who can work independently while taking input from and providing briefing to key colleagues, leadership, and coalition members. Some prior knowledge or experience in a similar field is a plus.

Qualifications

  • A degree from a reputable university in EU affairs, communications and/or environmental sciences
  • Familiarity with the roles of key institutions and operation of coalition and NGOs in the EU.
  • Passion for supporting the EU food and agriculture sectors and an interest in technical and scientific issues.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to understand perspectives of multiple stakeholders interested in issues, to filter information to align briefs with the key concerns of clients, and adapt key messages to different target audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including native or native-level English writing skills as well as the ability to swiftly and competently synthesise and communicate complex information without substantial editing from others.
  • Ability to deliver on both shared and individual responsibilities.
